July 28 - Pastel Morning - The Duluth South Pier Lighthouse is a great place to watch late July sunrises slip over the horizon. It's interesting how the shape of the sun is distorted near the horizon as the light is refracted differently near the water surface of Lake Superior. The sound of the gulls, waves slapping the beach, and the cool fresh air drifting in off the lake made for good memories. And God said, "Let there be light," and there was light. Genesis 1:3
July 29 - Summer Deluge - Gooseberry Falls Heavy rains bring significant flows to Gooseberry Falls during a late July storm. Standing on the river bank and hearing and feeling the power of water as it rushed down the Gooseberry River is truly a sight to behold. “But let justice roll down like waters And righteousness like an ever-flowing stream. Amos 5:24

And we are confident in the Lord that you are doing and will continue to do the things we commanded you.” 2 Thessalonians 3:3-4
