northernimages > Tranquility Base was the name given by Astronaut Neil Armstrong to the landing site on the moon where the Apollo 11 Lunar Module Eagle landed.
northernimages > This beautiful park graces the shores of Lake Superior in Duluth. A spectacular extension of Leif Erikson Park, Duluth's Rose Garden offers a beautiful arrangement of more than 3,000 rose bushes and other floral delights. There's also a fountain, a marble gazebo, an herb garden and plenty of benches overlooking the lake.
northernimages > When I pulled into the parking lot at 6AM on this early spring morning, the sun had already risen and I could hear the distant falls, roaring with melt-water. A few fishermen were unpacking their gear, getting ready to try their luck ,catching the trout that had moved into the river.

Although spring was late this year, there was no mistaking its arrival. The river was full, fishermen were out, sap was starting to flow through the limbs of the maple trees and the sun was already warm. It's days lake this that make you appreciate being able to live in this area.

It was a good day to be alive. I made my way around the falls taking pictures as I went and stopping to enjoy the beautiful creation that God placed in front of me. There is something about watching water tumble down waterfalls that seems to settle the soul and renew the mind and it seemed to work on this morning in May.

The LORD will guide you continually, giving you water when you are dry and restoring your strength. You will be like a well-watered garden, like an ever-flowing spring. Isa 58:11
