Autumn on the North Shore of Lake Superior is a very special time of year. The first frost of the season usually occurs in late September and that signals the start of color change. Usually within 2 weeks the North Shore is blazing with the reds and yellows of autumn. Split Rock Lighthouse sits in the middle of all this beauty and provided a perfect centerpiece for this image.
